Donation based classes for the youth of Long Beach!
Ages 6-17 welcome
At Clay on First, we believe creating accessible and affordable art classes for the youth should be a priority in our community. So, we are happy to announce that we are now offering donation-based classes for the kids of Long Beach! Classes are 1.5 hours long and will explore fun clay projects like piggy banks, trinket boxes, coil pots, and much more!
-Classes are offered on Wednesdays and Fridays and will be split up by age.
-All students must be residents of Long Beach, CA.
-Limited to one class per child per month.
-All tools & materials will be provided.
-Creations made during class will be available for pickup 4-6 weeks after class.
-Classes are donation based, meaning pay what you can. If you wish to donate, click the button below or donate in-person at the time of class.
Wednesdays @ 3:45pm - ages 6-12
Fridays @ 3:45pm - ages 13-17

If your child is age 6-12, please sign up for a Wednesday class.
If your child is age 13-17, please sign up for a Friday class.
Limited to one class per child per month.
If you need to cancel, please contact us as soon as possible so another child can reserve the space.

COVID-19 Precautions/Rules: Clay Pottery Studio is diligent in following CDC guidelines and providing a safe environment for all students, therefore the following rules are set in place and must be followed at all times: All children/instructors are required to wear a mask at all times except when drinking. Everyone will be spaced out 6 ft. apart at all times. Children and Instructor's temperatures will be taken upon arrival every day and anyone with a 100.4 temperature or above will be sent home. Classes will be held in our new garage space next door to our studio with the garage door open at all times to provide adequate ventilation and air-flow. Children should come dressed in layers in case they get cold. Hand sanitizer/sinks will be accessible at all times and students will be encouraged to wash their hands before/after class. Work stations and tools will be regularly sanitized. Parents may elect to purchase an individual tool kit for their child to use instead of sharing tools for an additional fee of $15 per tool kit. Students that are feeling any covid-related symptoms should contact Clay Pottery Studio immediately and should not come to class. We appreciate your cooperation to help us create a safe environment for everyone involved!
